My earliest memories of elementary school are marked not by joy and amusement, but by struggle and isolation. Even though it was my first year, the experience left a profound impact. The lack of creativity and adventure in the traditional system, coupled with my difficulties in reading, writing, and phonics, made each day a grueling challenge. Despite my best efforts, I found myself lagging behind my peers, resulting in countless missed playtimes as I remained inside, attempting to catch up. The sight of my classmates gleefully rushing off to enjoy their break while I was confined to my desk is one that is etched into my memory. This isolation extended beyond the classroom, as I was hardly ever present in the playground, making it difficult to form friendships. With each passing day, my self-esteem dwindled, and I felt increasingly alienated. The toll that a mainstream school can have on a dyslexic child was becoming painfully apparent.Amidst this bleak landscape, one sanctuary emerged - the art room. That's where I found solace, a place where I felt victorious, where my creativity could blossom.In 2018, after carving a niche for myself in the art world, I decided to address an issue that deeply concerned me - the acute shortage of art teachers in primary schools nationwide. My own childhood experiences had shown me the profound impact art could have on a child's development, and hence Pine Primary Arts was born. This venture is my attempt to rectify the imbalance in art education and provide a platform for every child to discover and nurture their creative potential.

Working at Unit London was an amazing opportunity for me to expand on my skills of collaborations and relationships across the London art world. Working in this roll was nonstop excitement and challenged me in the commercial art market.

In collaboration with Mark Hix, I had the opportunity to build a remarkable gallery from scratch. This project was not just a professional endeavor, but a thrilling journey that allowed me to truly understand the intricacies of establishing a business. The inception of the HIX Award during my inaugural year stands as a testament to our commitment to celebrate emerging talent. Following this, the launch of the HIX Magazine further amplified our efforts to contribute significantly to the art world. This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, allowing me to grow, learn, and make a meaningful impact in the realm of art.
