As Education Program Manager at The Dallas Opera, I build bridges between schools and the arts by planning and implementing interdisciplinary education programs. I work to ensure that all students in the DFW area have access to the arts through live performances, curriculum, and advocacy. Before starting my career in arts management, I spent three years in the classroom teaching middle and high school music and English. I also worked as an independent teacher on two online platforms.My personal background is in music performance. I have played trombone, and more recently French horn, in many types of traditional and virtual ensembles over the years. Currently, I am a member of the Carrollton Wind Symphony and a substitute for the Metropolitan Winds. I am also a practicing Catholic with several years of volunteer experience in sacred music. In the future, I would love to pursue a graduate degree in English or Linguistics.
