Developing a parent academy to support parents in helping keep their children safe and to facilitate healing from the trauma of abuse.

Responsible for the overall management of the program and all aspects of the program's operations. This primarily involves the coordination of a volunteer service providing advocacy to abused and neglected children to achieve our mission in accordance with the strategic plan and policies developed with the Board of Directors. Overseeing all operations and program development of a team devoted to ensuring abused and neglected children have a voice in the foster care system and find safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible. I help leaders and future-leaders of Do-Good organizations (nonprofits, NGO's, mission-led businesses) get clarity on their goals and support them as they take action towards achieving their visions of a better world. I work one-on-one with these leaders to develop inspiring visions and plans and then support them as they begin to bring these plans to life, and lead them and their Boards, teams and supporters through workshops and planning sessions to help ignite their vision and build strong foundations for their work.

Managed delivery of a 3-year federal grant to increase the community awareness and understanding of mental health issues in adolescents. Certified Youth Mental Health First Aid trainer. Delivered over 50 8-hour Youth Mental Health First Aid classes over 3 years, training over 500 people. Recruited and trained 8 diverse, community-based Youth Mental Health First Aid instructors, and supported them in their development to enable them to continue to deliver the training after the end of the grant. Conducted numerous speaking events, radio interviews, press interviews, community awareness events, and supplemental training to a wide variety of participants including juvenile court workers, children's services workers, mental health professionals, legal professionals, teachers, school nurses and counselors, parents, grandparents, foster parents, pastors and other faith-based leaders. Spearheaded changes to processes and procedures in schools and local medical facilities to respond to suicidal thoughts in a trauma-informed manor. Chair of the Robertson County Health Council, led a program to address homelessness, began an Interfaith Recovery Coalition, and served on the Board of the MidCumberland Children and Youth Council as Vice President. Delivered training on topics such as Adverse Childhood Experiences, Recognizing Child Abuse in the Classroom, and other mental health subjects.

Responsible for recruitment, training, and support of CASA Volunteers, who appear in court and advocate for abused and neglected children. Implemented a coaching and mentoring program, improved robustness of training program, and developed a performance management system to ensure quality advocacy for children. Managed systems and processes to track and oversee all casework, and supported the day to day operations of the program. Outcomes included doubling the number of trained, active volunteers, increasing the diversity of volunteers, and creating an empowered cadre of volunteers who were more likely to be retained beyond their first case.

A leadership role, responsible for working with teams based in Local Authorities throughout Scotland to improve services to children in need of care and protection. The role had a wide brief including partnership working, business planning, performance management, and organizational development. The role also had a corporate business services function which primarily involved change management, project and programme management (including development of the frameworks around these), and improvement initiatives. Implementing an internal coaching program, leading change management initiatives, and leadership workshop development and delivery were also key achievements.

Responsible for leading all strategic business planning for Investors In People UK, including facilitation of planning sessions for the executive team, Board members, and company-wide planning days, target and goal setting, and vision and strategy for the Investors in People Standard. The role also involved monitoring and reporting on the achievement of goals, both internally, externally, and to government officials.Other achievements included:--Implementation of a company-wide programme and project management methodology, including training and development for all employees on this subject--Development of a strategic partnership mapping tool--Relationship management with key strategic governmental partners in deveolved administrations (Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales)

Hired into an administrative position, the role was soon upgraded to a management position. Role involved the co-ordination and oversight of assessments against the Investors in People standard for large (550+ employees), mult-sited and international organizations. Budget managed a £1m+ budget, developed and managed customer service levels and quality assurance. Also became responsible for the budget management and oversight of a large project funded by the European Union to introduce Investors in People into South Africa.

Responsible for organising and co-ordinating all on-site training programs for businesses in the south-central area of Kentucky, primarily within the manufacturing sector. Management of a cadre of 40+ trainers, delivering 300+ training sessions annually. Development of a website, internal systems, management of up to 4 assistants, budget management and product/program development. Also responsible for customer services and liaison which included writing grants for training activities and training needs analysis.
