A Recruitment Specialist for Allstaff Recruitment, based in the Bedford branch covering all recruitment needs for the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire areas. I visit Clients to identify their recruitment needs and gather a better understanding of the working environment, company culture and candidate fit, whilst building strong long-lasting relationships with the Client and Contacts. I recruit for all contract types - permanent, temporary, fixed-term contracts and temp to perms. I provide support to Candidates through each stage of the recruitment process. I help assist Candidates with their job search, advising on the options available to them and the current market. As part of my role, I also interview candidates prior to registering them with us and provide them with free CV advice/guidance. When the candidate's CV has been successfully shortlisted by the Client I then provide further support to the candidate preparing them for their interview.

Rebecca McCandless is a Recruitment advisor for North Hertfordshire College, based at The Goldsmith Centre in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. Rebecca visits employers to identify their recruitment needs, whether it is for an apprentice and the use of North Hertfordshire Colleges Student Crew or the Training for employment division where the College is able to help people get back into work. Rebecca has experience in identifying and advising people on their companies recruitment needs and also their training needs. Rebecca will help employers by advertising their apprenticeship vacancies free of charge and also with the pre-assessment stages of reducing applicants to make sure the employer only seeing the candidates that are suitable for the needs she has already identified. Rebecca has successfully placed apprentices in a vast range of sectors including the following apprenticeship sectors, Carpentry, Business Administration, Customer Services, Engineering, ICT, Hospitality and Catering, Sales, Marketing, Digital Youth Academy, this is just a small selection of what The Goldsmith Centre has to offer. Rebecca also has knowledge of any funding for training that may be available to employers at the time. North Hertfordshire College (NHC) is a medium sized further education college spread across five main campuses. Students include those aged 16 – 18 studying full time as well as adults studying management and professional courses and evening leisure courses. Along with providing education the college runs a number of commercial businesses within which students gain work experience. These include a hairdressing and beauty therapy salon, theatre, restaurant, car wash, gym and sports facilities. NHC is a founder member of Gazelle, a group set up by five college principals with the aim of transforming education through entrepreneurialism. The college ethos is to fully equip young people with the skills to set up their own business or add value to an existing organisation.

My role as a Key account manager was to visit local companies and see what training needs they have and advise them of the best courses for them selves and their staff.

At Clacksons, it was my job to promote the Recruitment pages of 100's of local newspapers all over the country to advertisers.

I had various roles at Archant, I started as a PA and then went into Sales as this appeared more exciting. Whilst there I worked on the Trades and Services section, the Property section and finally on the Recruitment section.
