Followed by a series of 4 workshops for voluntary sector carer support organisations across Edinburgh to support the development of their monitoring and evaluation procedures• Marie Curie: evaluation of a fully funded 18-month pilot in NHS Fife aimed at developing the existing Marie Curie Service for generalist palliative care• Caring Together Programme, a partnership between Marie Curie Cancer Care, NHS Glasgow and Clyde, and the British Heart Foundation. 2-year programme of Action Research to develop an effective integrated model of care for people at end-stage heart failure with palliative care needs• Health Foundation’s shared decision-making programme MAGIC - 2-year formative evaluation to identify what worked in relation to programme design and widespread implementation of shared decision making• ‘Childcare and Early Learning Hubs’ two-year formative evaluation looking at their development of across England• Department for Education’s funded Family Fund Trust model: part of the evaluation team to inform the way in which support is provided in the future and involved qualitative research with national stakeholders and families• Ofgem: qualitative research looking into the benefits of Energy Advice for those at risk of Fuel Poverty• EHRC (Scotland) to identify the significant inequalities in Scotland• Department of Health: National Pathfinder Programme aimed at improving the commissioning and delivery of services for children with speech, language and communication needs. I held a 3 year PQASSO Mentor license. PQASSO is a quality assurance system for the voluntary sector developed by the Charities Evaluation Services. PQASSO mentors help organisations to implement PQASSO by providing training and one-to-one support.

Play Alloa is a charity based in Alloa, Central Scotland, that provides play and social opportunities for children, young people and adults with additional support needs and disabilities. I was a board member from 2010 supporting organisational development, quality assurance and fundraising, in 2013 I successfully secured funding from the Third Sector Early Intervention Fund of over £120,000 to fund a 3 year programme of work. I stepped down from the Board and was then employed by the organisation to deliver this programme. I was responsible for delivering: - additional weekly play and social sessions for the service users - developing a mentoring and befriending service to support mainstream organisations to include children and young people with additional support needs - running a series of support sessions for parents and families - strengthening governance and quality assurance processesI left the position due to maternity leave.
