As the newly appointed Chair of the Professional Development Council, I am committed to fostering opportunities that support lifelong learning and professional growth within audiology. My goal is to build upon the Council’s mission by collaborating with other councils, committees, and leaders to ensure audiologists have access to high-quality resources that enhance clinical and professional skills. Through this role, I’m excited to help shape initiatives that encourage excellence and advancement in our field, supporting audiologists at every career stage.

As former Chair of the American Board of Audiology (ABA), I dedicated my efforts to improving educational resources for students and emerging professionals, clarifying certification, licensure, and essential standards for audiologists. My focus was to empower audiologists to not only meet professional requirements but also recognize the added career value of certification. Additionally, I collaborated on launching a new certification initiative to broaden professional distinction within our field. As Chief of Audiology at UCSF, I lead our department's clinical, research, and educational initiatives to provide high-quality, patient-centered care and innovative solutions in audiology. My work focuses on expanding service offerings, advancing clinical practices, and fostering professional development for our team. With a commitment to program growth and quality improvement, I collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and accessibility across the Bay Area. Additionally, I oversee projects that support training for future audiologists, implement data-driven quality initiatives, and enhance access to audiology care through technology and multilingual resources.
