About Rebecca Miles

Rebecca has extensive experience in training and coaching leaders, as well as possessing direct experience leading teams. She strives for the continuous provision of excellent customer service to both internal and external clients. Rebecca joined the Hatch HR team as the South East Australia Region Recruitment Officer. She then became the key HR contact for the GEMCO (Groote Eylandt Manganese Company) Incremental Expansion Project from 2008 - 2010 and was responsible for all HR related functions for personnel based both in the home and site offices – i.e. Wollongong and Groote Eylandt. From 2009, Rebecca provided ongoing HR Advisor support to the NCIG (Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group) Project in Newcastle. Recognised for her provision of both strategic and operational support to the management team, as well as mentoring and providing support to the regional HR team, Rebecca was promoted to the position of HR Lead for the growing Newcastle region in 2012. Rebecca also completed an assignment for the "T4" PWCS Project in Newcastle focussing primarily on both the IR and HR components required for the completion of the feasibility study. She has also held the Return to Work Coordinator role for South East Australia and Employment Relations Lead role for Australia-Asia.In her final role with Hatch, Rebecca worked closely with Senior Leadership - managing and building the Talent Aquisition Practice for Hatch in the APAC region.During 2019-2020, Rebecca was working as the Human Resources Manager for Connell Australasia. This role included all Generalist activities as well as responsibilities for the Learning and Development and Payroll functions.In 2019 Rebecca was also nominated and chosen to be a Mentor in the WIMARQ (Women in Mining and Resources, Qld) program.During 2020 Rebecca worked on contract in an acting Program Leader role at Logan City Council - leading the HR and TA team whilst the incumbent was on leave.
