About Rebecca Mong
I am passionate about healing. Not just healing in the physical sense but also in the emotional and spiritual aspect. I have always been interested and amazed that offering comfort in the form of a light touch of the hand or shoulder, or the phrase “I care about you” can have as much healing properties as pharmaceutical medications. This is called compassionate care and why I am passionate and dedicated to the nursing field. Medical knowledge and relief of physical ailments is important but I believe that in order to heal the body, the mind and spirit of a person needs special attention. This is what is called holistic nursing care: caring for the patient as a whole being, physically, psycho-socially, spiritually, and emotionally, and treating them as unique individuals that deserve unconditional acceptance and equal treatment. I strongly believe in advocating the most beneficial treatments for my patients and honoring their wishes. I believe that I have been called to nursing.GOALS:My goal is to secure a position as a Staff Registered Nurse I/Clinical Nurse I with a top-rated hospital with the potential for long-term deliverance of quality of care to community members. I want to use my education, critical thinking skills, experiences, compassion, and enthusiasm towards minimizing infections, and shortening average hospital stays. I would like to join the hospital's safety committee in order to implement the best evidence-based practices available.
