My favorite roles are the ones that come to life when the rest of the world has clocked out. That's why I chose a career in tourism and entertainment. I've spent my entire adult life creating exciting, safe, memorable vacations for a global clientele, with the goal of operating everything so seamlessly that visitors are entirely unaware of the workload that takes place behind the scenes. Because of this choice I've held titles like 1) Zookeeper, performing for thousands with a 500 lb animal at my hip2) Cruise ship entertainer, leading a safety drill with all the pizzazz of a game show, and 3) Educator, wrangling K-12 field trip groups through a crowded theme park and making sure they get some killer science knowledge out of itThis diverse background has made me excellent under pressure, with strong public speaking skills and an ability to connect with anyone. At the start of the pandemic when my industry halted I decided to go back to school to finish my Psychology degree, and take on a new role in Recreation management at the California State parks, seeing the less glamorous, but equally as important, side of travel and leisure. There I oversaw and facilitated the transition from an analog to a digital reservation system countywide, and helped adapt the educational Junior Rangers programming for online and socially distanced programming. Now, I am ready to reenter the entertainment and tourism scene with renewed vigor and qualifications. I will be an asset to your team and a favorite of your clients.
