I am currently completing a 10- week clinical internship at Duke Regional Hospital on their in- patient rehab floor. I am working under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide therapy services at the acute rehabilitation level. The primary diagnoses that I have been working with include: heart transplant, CVA and lower extremity amputation. I collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, case managers and physicians to formulate the best plan of care for each patient and make recommendations regarding length of stay, further therapy needs and discharge planning.

I completed an 8- week clinical internship at Advocate Christ Medical Center, as part of their acute care rehab team. I worked under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide rehab services to patients on the following units: medical surgery, general trauma, surgical trauma intensive care and cardiac intensive care. I collaborated with occupational therapists, speech therapists, case managers, nursing staff and physicians to evaluate patients' mobility and safety to make appropriate recommendations for discharge.

I completed an 8- week clinical rotation at this privately owned out- patient orthopedic clinic. I worked under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide rehab services to patients with orthopedic conditions. The primary diagnoses that I treated were post- operative total joint replacement, rotator cuff repair, shoulder pain and lower back pain.
