Learning, leading, and growing - that's what fuels my passion.I am an environmental scientist with experience in ecotoxicology, environmental risk assessment, and contaminated sites management. Much of my work in ecotoxicology has focused on novel toxicity test method development for non-standard marine species, particularly from the Canadian Arctic and northern Atlantic oceans, and the effects of oil spills and oil spill remediation technologies on marine organisms. As a consultant, I specialize in human health and ecological risk assessment and environmental impact management in aquatic and terrestrial environments. Examples include identifying and assessing the cumulative effects of various anthropogenic stressors on marine ecosystems, climate change vulnerability and adaptation planning, and habitat monitoring and ecosystem management.I am dedicated to understanding and mitigating the effects of human activity on the environment while fostering collaborative and inclusive approaches that weave Indigenous knowledge and methodologies with western science. I continually strive to incorporate two-eyed seeing approaches into my work as part of the ongoing journey towards reconciliation with Indigenous communities in Canada.
