• Issue licenses and permits to Canadians for drugs regulated under Controlled Drugs Substance Act (CDSA) and ensure all controlled drugs are used for licit purposes and not deviated towards illicit use.• Contribute to the implementation and development of regulations, policies, guides, procedures, and standards.• Provide regulatory and technical information, guidance, orientation, and recommendations which are relevant to management, various Program areas, other government agencies, industrial sector, professional bodies, and other stakeholders.• Coordinate information flow between license holders, stakeholders and Office of Controlled Substances to efficiently process controlled drugs licenses and permits.• Give presentations to various stakeholders, professionals, representatives of the industry, special interest groups, and public service employees from other departments.• Develop standard operating procedures, correspondences to license applicants and stakeholders, including compliance letters, with interpreted advice of the regulations and CDSA, and prepare briefing notes to the Minister.
