Tech for Good Live is a Community Association that wants to inform and inspire about how tech can be more ethical, but also how it can positively create social change. We have monthly events and a diverse community in Manchester and we run weekly podcasts that reach a worldwide audience. I am co-founder, but also act as main podcast host and help direct and produce our documentary and live podcasts. I also strategically work on the content and direction of the organisation, charing our committee and leading our team of talented volunteers.

NHS Red Book Project - Working for Olive Jar Digital on a project with NHS England. My role was Lead user researcher, running a team of 4 researchers to understand the usage and value of The Red Book (Personal Child Health Record). We completed 2 surveys, on site analysis of 130 Red Books with parents and over 90 interviews with both parents and medical professionals, followed up by parent workshops and a detailed report.

Managing the team of about 80 designers, researchers and developers working on projects mainly in the government and charity spaces. I was also responsible for organisational strategy and worked heavily in all other aspects of the business such as budgeting, new business and operations. We worked with clients in the charity space such as Scouts, Macmillan and Mind and we also work with central and local Government including large long term contracts for the Department for Education and the NHS.

I founded Reply, so I could use my experience to work with individuals and organisations that want to create social change. That might be charities, social entrepreneurs, government, funders, trainers, co-operatives, social enterprises, or corporate social responsibility departments.I was the main driver of everything within the agency. They take an inclusive approach to improve the usability and accessibility of digital products and services, including websites, intranets, mobile apps and software. Part of the Sigma group, a 4000-strong IT services company based in Sweden and with offices throughout the world. I worked with Sigma as their lead in the non-profit and charity space. I provided market knowledge, research and design strategy and consultancy, account management and direction with their non-profit clients and projects with the aim of bringing in new research and design business and repeat work and to provide a high quality project output. Key clients: BBC, Irwin Micthell.My main client here was the BBC working with them on usability and accessibility projects including a study into neurodiversity.

I curated The Federation events series consisting of 40 events per year covering a variety of key issues within Tech Ethics and responsibility. My role involved: - Creating campaign strategy and implementable, measurable plans. This included wire framing for digital, storyboarding for video and devising content strategies for social. I would oversee content to ensure it's optimal, relevant for the audience and aligned with the brand. - Managing teams of community managers and content creators including writers, designers, developers, photographers, videographers, SEO managers and analysing and reviewing content based on stats and creative. - Managing partners, clients & team resources like training, finance, delivery and efficiency. - New business including working with pitch teams, speaking at events and networking. Also actively at the forefront of devising internal marketing campaigns.

Part time role on The Design Cluster courses. I wrote, delivered and assessed the module 'Professional Practice 2' for the second year students. It's a live project ran by the students aiming to integrate them into 'life after uni' and to get them interacting with the creative industries- looking at events, digital marketing, personal marketing and branding. I delivered and assessed this for three years before the course was dissolved. I have also assisted on numerous level 3 and 4 projects.

An all around digital marketing role working directly with clients to increase their brand presence online. This incorporated: website development, digital PR, marketing, copy, content, events, ideas, social media, SEO, email marketing, content management, account management, new technology advice and implementation.I worked with companies such as: PZ Cussons, Creative Tourist, MIDAS, Charles Worthington, Greenall's Gin, and BCL Legal.

My job here was project managing and delivering on-line research projects providing high end analysis and business insights. This was through on-line research communities, which involved elements of community management. As a side role, I was responsible for implementing and managing the new design of any on-line assets such as new community websites or emails. To do this I worked with an external agency that I had appointed.My clients were O2 and The Co-Operative

My role for this temporary contract was to launch and re launch some of mN's products. Including social media, PR and marketing strategy writing and implementation, market research, intelligence gathering, product development and liaising with and briefing partners, producers, web designers and everyone else involved in the creation of the products. I also assisted with the internal planning and research team on projects and pitch prep.

I worked a 6 month full time contract as a Demonstrator on the Design Cluster of courses. This involved me managing the studio, dealing with student requests, delivering lectures on social, marketing and self promotion and employment, I also delivered one to one tuition with students, sitting in on interviews and promoting the course through open days, presentations and digital marketing.

I have been involved with events on a number of levels, mainly running, arranging, concepting and promoting a series of successful creative industry debates called The Circuit Series in Manchester for two years back in 2006/7. I've arranged the music at events such as nabs Battle of the Bands and Manchester Food and drink Festival and done my fair share of acting as compere and host such as at the launch day of The Cutting Room. Other notable events were There will be Blood - two speaker led debate sessions run from Manchester's Common Bar that sold out within hours of being launched and The Feed, another debate based series of events ran to engage people with the latest issues in the world of digital. I also co-founded Good for Nothing Girls chapter and ran a series of weekend hack events with them. one of the outcomes was nominated by a big chip.I've created podcasts, live streamed, live blogged, vox popped, filmed and photographed them too.

I had to look after all of the designers, make sure they were happy, stock up the studio, make sure it was ship shape. I managed diaries and booked in meetings.On top of this I was brought in to help design and implement a new piece of project management software, digitally transforming the organisations paper based system. This was a brilliant opportunity for me in my first agency role to truly understand throughly all of the business functions of a design studio, allowing me to transform it to a new, fit for purpose digital system. I then had to train all staff in and cajole them to use it. (beers and pizza helped).
