I received a bachelors in Pre-Counseling at Moody Bible Institute in 2016 and a Masters in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago in 2021. Helping people has always been my passion. Some of my most rewarding experiences include completing internships at 3 non-profits in Chicago: Safe Families for Children, a non-profit dedicated to providing resources to families in crisis; Envision Unlimited a non-profit dedicated to providing individuals with disabilities quality services which promote choice, independence and community integration; and Catholic Charities: Arts of Living program which provides comprehensive evidence-based services, in cooperation with the City of Chicago Department of Family and Support Services, to expectant parents and families with children from birth to age 3 residing in Chicago. In addition to this, I have 10 years of experience working with students in both middle and high school serving as a youth leader as well as the Assistant Student Ministry Director for 2 years at Park Community Church. I feel serving others is a calling placed on my life which is why I pursued a degree in Social Work. My greatest accomplishment by far weighs in at just under 30lbs. Parenthood is a difficult journey made even more so by a diagnosis of CDH. Making it through the ups and downs of the NICU at Lurie Children's Hospital, middle of the night phone calls, ECMO, DH repair surgery, NG and G tubes etc., has been the most difficult thing I have ever faced. It is the desire to help other families who are facing this same journey that inspired the creation of The CDH Foundation.
