About Rebecca Sendel

My biggest differentiator is my intangibles - I bring positivity, energy and implicit collaboration to everything I do. I connect the dots across complex topics and I bring everyone around me around on the mission by creating clarity and purpose. I believe in openness and transparency. I have had product management and product marketing roles; I have run lines of business as a GM. I fit well as a chief of staff where strategy, product, operations, and people come together.I am results driven – you can’t manage what you can’t measure - but do the metrics create the right behavior? That’s the art vs the science. As chief of staff at Cisco, I managed a team that created, tracked, analyzed and reviewed 50 KPIs across 10 product lines. KPIs were owned across 8 VPs running a product management organization for a $13B business. I have scars to show from what I learned, but we got to a strong and repeatable way to run a large organization.I am customer driven (obsessed!) and have years of training on customer journeys. How do we identify and drive to positive customer outcomes every day? How do we make every customer engagement better? I have experience with end customers and partners (169% of quota on average at Arrow) and I understand the channel well having worked at a distributor.I am a communicator (is it even possible to over communicate?) I love to be the evangelist for whatever I am working on, and love to get others to feel the value and grasp their roles in the vision. I speak, write and workshop but mostly I am creative about ensuring engagement in person and online. I don’t settle for the usual.I operate at the executive level – accelerating and simplifying the many and varied tasks of senior leaders. I show up with answers (vs problems) and thoughtful ideas to drive to results. At Cisco, I devised a single approach for a roadmap and repository to deliver necessary information to product management team leaders and stakeholders including finance and marketing, enabling diverse teams to always have the latest. The clever part was that it was used for both planning and communicating deliverables as the single source of truth. Time is the critical asset of every executive and I optimize time to drive scale and strategic execution.Mostly I know that people perform best when they like what they do and succeed. And that’s how companies succeed. Making that happen is my personal mission.
