At the Simons Foundation I create digital content through producing, shooting and editing a variety of video projects from explainers about our diversity programs to Q&As with world renowned scientists. In my role I am able to work on the creation and evolution of a website dedicated to advancing the basic sciences while also expanding the foundation's video presence. I collaborate with stakeholders and developers to implement multimedia features to our website that enhance the growth of our digital audience. As a journalist and documentary filmmaker with a special interest in human rights issues, I have international reporting experience working in East Africa and the Congo where I covered politics, women's rights, and the environment. I produced an Emmy nominated documentary for the National Geographic Channel on the global water crisis and am also working on a healthcare reporting project in cities across the U.S. I freelance produce, shoot and edit for news organizations and non-profits alike. I have an M.A. in International Reporting from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
