As a web and video producer at this scientific research foundation, I focus on building more robust digital content for the foundation through producing, shooting and editing short films with world-renowned scientists and scientific programs. I have also spearheaded the production of films for some of our partner organizations to promote new discoveries and highlight research within the scientific community.

Greater New York City Area

I self-funding, co-produced and co-directed two films on the political activism in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. While there I was also fortunate enough to work with the New York Times on a story about political landscape leading up to the 2016 presidential elections. I have also worked on short videos and written pieces for local non-profits, news organizations and small businesses.

Greater New York City Area

This project in partnership with the Times-Picayne and Fox8was a Peabody nominated series on the cost of healthcare in Louisiana. I researched and report on healthcare issues and costs with local media partners across the country also including, WHYY, and WNYC. I maintained the website during a re-launch, as well as wrote and copy edited blog posts.

Greater New York City Area

I developed and produced a four-part an Emmy nominated documentary series on the global water crisis for National Geographic. This project included researching and pitching story ideas, investigating multi-national corporations, and producing field interviews while managing a crew.

New York

I researched and cast a new true crime docu-series for the Discover Network. My work included finding interesting stories through research via Lexis Nexis, Factiva, WorldAccessNews and reaching out to potential subjects. I aided in casting the show, pre-interviewing main characters and booking shoots. I assisted in post-production which included some editing on Avid and delivering a show to a network.

Fort Greene, New York

I was a reporter for the New York Times hyper local blog covering Parks, Recreation, and Environment in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn. I wrote weekly breaking news and feature stories on topics such as park conservation, school farming programs and city-wide recycling initiatives. I also took photos to accompany my stories.

Kampala, Uganda

The New Vision is Uganda's largest daily newspaper. I was a features reporter covering health, human rights and environmental issues. Some of my stories included climate change's affect on rainy seasons for the agricultural industry, drug trial effectiveness on children with HIV, and the increase in women's cancers across the country. I was able to travel throughout Uganda and Kenya covering local events and getting on the ground information regarding national issues. I also had my own weekly column regarding Ugandan culture.
