The Carmiel Village is the largest of “Hamifal’s ” Homes and raises 235 children, aged 5-15, in 20 family-units. I lived as "mother" in one of these units, raising the 10 children in my care.Our goals are to rehabilitate these children by means of a home and a family feeling in a unique family-unit model which is a substitute for the biological family, that is vital for a child’s moral growth and development. This model enables us to relate to each one of them individually and to promote his/her self-esteem and his abilities to overcome educational, cultural and social gaps.
