A fascination with the people around me has led me from university studies of psychology, philosophy and European law, to voluntary projects with people in different personal situations such as homelessness or being far from home; through professional experience of creating and facilitating workshops on topics from civil society space to gender equality, coordinating multicultural teams in different countries and finally realising that everything has always centred around the creation of environments that support learning and exchange among humans to improve the future. My choice of where I put my energy comes down to a central belief that we can achieve more if we come together around common issues to improve this broken world of ours. Membership organisations suit me because their function is exactly this - whether it is using experience from development projects around the world to inform European policy; bringing together women who have been through burnout to use collective intelligence as well as well being and creative professionals to support them; or gathering Equality bodies to strengthen the implementation of European Equality Law at national level, we are pooling efforts, exchanging among ourselves, trying to improve the future by learning from one another's experiences. My role in all this has always been bringing people together and facilitating exchanges, trying new approaches through coaching and other tools to improve communication and using hope as motivation for everything I do.
