Principal Operations Research Analyst
CurrentPromotions: 2020 (Lead), 2023 (Principal)- Shaped work program leading seven analysts in support of the US Space Force. Developed Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) tools and conducted analysis to support key funding decisions for future US space architectures. Implemented automation of MS&A tools to allow for experimental design, reduce human error, and execute analysis quickly to answer key questions for senior leaders. MORS David Rist Finalist 2023. - Lead mathematician/statistician for several COVID-related research studies, providing mathematical modeling and statistics expertise. Provided key insights to reduce particle dispersion through the use of face masks to minimize the spread of disease in both a lab settings and on school/city buses.- Participated in development of a discrete event simulation in R and Python. Developed JSON data structures, JSON schema and data validation in Python. Conducted designed experimentation to determine improvement metrics for varying synthetic biology workflows for a disaggregated network.- Conducted two large Global Positioning System (GPS) experiments, combining design of experiments with an optimization tool to inform DoD Strategy. Wrote a custom genetic algorithm to determine optimized sensor configurations to geolocate RF emitters. Created extensive visualization functions.- Co-Principal Investigator for the development of a tool to create optimized hiring plans that reduce claims inventory and wait times, leveraging a linear program and a genetic algorithm. Provided key experimentation expertise to ensure sufficient testing of the tool and demonstrate its usefulness.
