About Rebecca Wilkinson

After living and working in the United Kingdom, I am returning to the United States from August of 2023. I am now actively pursuing new opportunities within the areas of student services and human resources. I wish to use my expertise in implementing and managing programs which support the success of students at the university level and staff who work with them. Specialising in middle leadership within education, I have over 20 years’ experience working with students and educators supporting young people. I have had the opportunity to work within education systems both in the United States and in the United Kingdom and have built a reputation for academic success and high quality pastoral care. I value my work because it allows others to shine. Creating environments and fostering relationships which allow people to reach their potential continue to motivate me and give me great satisfaction. For example, in my current role I have been able to: -Re-establish and develop a now thriving department which offers seven different courses within two subject areas. The department is now one of the largest within the school, with a substantial number of students in each grade level taking its courses. -Mentor a new team of staff who have gained initial teaching qualifications as well as developing new specialisms. -Link with another local high school to create a collaborative curriculum area involving two teams that work closely together to manage and oversee the progress of over 400 students and 10 staff. - Mentor and support a number of high school seniors in winning places within higher education - in both British and American colleges.- Work as part of a team to show consistency of excellence in teaching and management, allowing the school to achieve a Good rating by national inspectors. I have worked with multi-agency teams involving social services, special educational needs specialists, law enforcement, charities, and local universities in developing and implementing holistic care plans for young people. I am experienced in using Microsoft package programmes, social media platforms, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, data analysis programs, and online systems that facilitate continued professional development and training. Specialities: Training, support of emotional, academic and professional welfare of staff, development and management of small and medium scale programs, team building, organisation, time management, budgeting, facilitating links with local and international communities to support professionals and young people.

Listed skills include Interpersonal Skills, Leading Development Teams, Employee Training, Teacher Training, and 14 others.
