Responsible for the delivery of commercial events & residential lettings through Sherborne School (Trading) Ltd to maximize the commercial opportunities using the school’s facilities when not required by the School, in accordance with the annual operating & capital budgets, ensuring at all times that the reputation of the School was promoted and upheld. From 2019-2022, this included responsibility for school café (The Hub).Through client meetings I identified the customer’s requirements, quoted for the business, agreed any additional or variable costs in advance, delivered the event in accordance with what had been agreed and invoiced the event afterwards. To deliver a successful event, I ensured that all departments involved in delivering the customer’s requirements had the appropriate information and that risk assessments and appropriate Health & Safety procedures were produced and followed.Line Management responsibility for the Events Assistant & The Hub Manager.Responsible for the co-ordination and management of major school events where multiple departments were involved, such as Commemoration, the Leavers’ Ball, OS Weekend, CourtsFest and Staff Christmas parties. I had to liaise with relevant departments to agree the scope and standard of service, establish costs & manage appropriate areas of the budget for each event. Post event, I had to review the event and measure the success of delivery based on costs incurred & quality of the event.Delivered an annual programme of joint social events for the boys and girls from Sherborne Girls in collaboration with the Deputy Head (Co-curricular).Oversaw the implementation of, and was responsible for the ongoing management of Evolve, a cloud-based application, used by all staff to record and manage their onsite events. I had to review and approve all Evolve forms, ensuring they had been completed correctly; respond to user queries; set up all new staff members with the appropriate access to the Evolve system.
