I am a (GIA) Graduate Gemologist.The GIA Graduate Gemologist diploma program is designed to deliver a comprehensive gemology education across the entire spectrum of diamonds and colored stones. Through extensive training and experience, I am now able to identify and grade diamonds and colored stones efficiently, accurately and consistently. I earned my diploma from GIA on September 6, 2013, and now have the technical skills to make an immediate and significant contribution to the success of my employer.At GIA, I gained a broad knowledge of diamonds and gemstones, including how the 4Cs affect diamond value. I am proficient at grading diamonds, as well as plotting them. I am highly skilled at identifying more than 1,750 common and unusual colored gemstones, including making the distinction between synthetics from their natural counterparts, and detecting enhanced and treated diamonds and colored gemstones.In addition to receiving my GG diploma, I also earned my Accredited Jewelry Professional diploma at GIA. The coursework provided the experience required to render faceted gems and metals and to employ traditional drafting techniques to design jewelry. I also can translate technical grading and manufacturing terms into simple but informative terms that customers can readily understand.My attention to detail and organizational abilities enhance my technical background.
