2024 is all about the rebrand of RDP Associates to Simplicity+. Simplicity + is a Salesforce Partner focusing on simple agile Salesforce for small businesses and startups.Four years as a small business owner and over thirty years of work experience from the early days of technology to now. I am an owner focused on delivering business and tech consulting based upon experience.I am not an expert. LeaderSalesforce Chicago Suburban User Group / Salesforce Chicago Marketers (Marketing Cloud) May 2015 - PresentNormally, I would write some bulleted points identifying my skills used as a Salesforce User Group leader. I am opting out of that option for this position because this is something I do for free. I enjoy meeting with our members new and existing as well as the challenge of engaging people to actively participate outside of work in this group network.I meet annually with my fellow leaders to plan all of our in-person meetings, webinars, strategies and discussion topics. As a marketing support to our in-between in-person meeting webinars, I thought it would be a good idea to promote this as our celebration of the ten year anniversary of the Salesforce AppExchange.We reached out to appexchange apps we have worked with and offered ten time slots for a free one hour demonstration/presentation with us as virtual hosts on a recorded webinar. While our actual live turnout is questionable, the playback views and free marketing for the vendors are a no brainer. We use ReadyTalk to host, moderate and record our webinars.As we do not have a "permanent" address for our in-person meetings, planning these events keeps our problem solving skills very active. Planning an in-person meeting requires creativity, event planning skills, hosting and just knowing how to stand in front of a group of people for three hours without boring everyone to death.For me the hardest part is moderating our virtual group in the success community, but as time goes by we have made some gains in activity amongst our members. We handle the membership of our group, moderate and engage discussions, answer questions and try to provide resources to our members whenever possible.I'm pretty sure there is more I totally forgot to mention, but I think all of the above gives you a good idea of what this position entails.
