I act as the Administrative Assistant to the Oklahoma/SE Kansas Regional Director of Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial. I support office operations related to organization and communication such as preparing documents, distributing incoming work, filing documents, scheduling meetings, greeting visitors, answering incoming communications, and updating social media, all while maintaining confidentiality. Additionally, I assist with recruiting processes and systems and maintain current records for recruitment candidates. I update and maintain office policies and procedures and act as a Home Office liaison for required service items and education and training topics. Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial is designed to help members develop a personal financial strategy unique to their needs and goals, allowing for greater security and peace of mind. Since 1883, Modern Woodmen has brought people together, supported families, and strengthened communities nationwide, which is why I am proud to be a part of this team!

As a Secondary English/Language Arts Teacher at Tulsa Honor Academy I taught the entirety of tenth grade students (140-160 in total) in accordance with Common Core Standards. This included designing, planning, and implementing engaging lesson plans while also modifying assignments and tests for students with IEPs and 504s. Additionally, my role focused on analyzing and documenting weekly student progress and partnering with families to hit benchmarks on students' way to successfully completing the course. I actively engaged in professional developments both within the school and on my own time in an effort to become the best educator I could be. I spent time collaborating with team members to provide social-emotional learning and support for students, and I acted as an academic advisor for 30 students in a school focused on equipping students with the academic skills, content knowledge, and ethical character required for college graduation and life success. My time at Tulsa Honor Academy deeply shaped me and I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with some of the best students in a part of my city that is so dear to me.

I had the incredible opportunity to teach 100 sixth grade students Geography of the Western Hemisphere at my alma mater: Will Rogers College Junior High. This included planning and implementing engaging lesson plans following The Tulsa Way Essential Content and Practice Standards while also modifying assignments and tests for students with IEPs and 504s. During my time at Rogers I had the opportunity to engage in TPS's Grading Pilot Initiative as well as the roll out of Inquiry-Driven Units on the Tulsa Race Massacre at every grade level. It was a challenging but important experience to return to my former school to not only teach and engage in the content but also partner with families and collaborate with team members to provide social-emotional support and learning for students. I am so grateful for my time at Rogers!

As the Site Coordinator for Super Summer, I was responsible for leading the vision and operation of Super Summer. I led the Super Summer team in partnership with the YMCA of Greater Tulsa, developed and led team meetings to create a community of awareness and communication, and built strong relationships and partnerships with the school and the YMCA to act as a liaison for the program. I also oversaw and made strategic decisions regarding staff, students, and program, and created strategies to ensure that The Opportunity Project’s mission of diversity and inclusion was prevalent in all aspects of Super Summer, working with families to provide a sense of belonging, and ensuring a positive and engaging work-place culture with a focus on safety at Super Summer.

During my Junior and Senior years at ORU I served as a floor chaplain. I made myself available to 30+ girls to be a safe space, listening ear, peer leader and mentor, support, and friend. I met with multiple girls weekly and hosted floor events monthly, typically centered on spiritual formation. I provided counsel when needed and referred them to available campus resources as necessary, like mental health or addiction supports. I built strong floor community with my girls alongside my RA. I met with the chaplains in my dorm weekly and all chaplains in the program bi-weekly. I submitted chaplain reports each week, discussing the general state of the girls on my floor and requesting any additional necessary supports.

As a sales associate at J's Hallmark in Tulsa, I worked to provide the best customer service for all that entered the store. I helped customers with all transactions, stocked and priced items, fulfilled online orders, signed customers up for our store rewards program, and had a working knowledge of all inventory in the store. I was also the youngest key-holder in the store, meaning I was able to open and close the store without supervision. This was the perfect part-time job while in undergrad!
