Speakers from all over the world and from our own backyard brought ideas worth spreading at the very first TEDxDurango event in November 2019.As a member of the TEDxDurango Executive Team, I was responsible for the social media presence of the event. With no boosting or paid ads, I was able to get a following of over 700 people in four months on the Facebook page. From communicating with other executive team members, entertainers, and speakers, I curated a stream of content that introduced our following to the people involved in coordinating the first TEDxDurango event.On the day of the event, I was taking photos, going live, and sharing behind-the-scenes content with our followers on Instagram and Facebook. This level of event coordination and social media sharing helped get our event more publicity and opened the door for future opportunities. -
