During my time at Oklahoma State University I have worked at the Greenhouse Learning Center for the past two years. I also have worked along side the Director of the Botanic Garden at Oklahoma State University to create a Children's Activity Guide. Working at the Greenhouse Learning Center and with the Botanic Garden at Oklahoma State, I have been able to apply the skills learned from my degree into real scenarios. Everyday I use my greenhouse management, and plant maintenance skills working at the Greenhouse Learning Center. While working to develop the Children's Activity Guide I was able to learn about youth programs and implement what I learned. I am also the president of the Beekeeping Club here at Oklahoma State. While serving as president I manage an executive team of other officers. I schedule meetings, prepare educational content, and present educational programs to the club members at meetings. I also schedule hive checks and oversee that members are adhering to the proper safety protocols.
