An art dealer by trade and marketing strategist by experience, Jacob's interdisciplinary expertise falls under one umbrella : creativity. An expert in the diverse art and photography of the American South and Cuba, Jacob created her eponymous art enterprise (www.rebekahjacobgallery.com) with skilled enthusiasm and a deep, personal knowledge of all aspects of the art market. Jacob has represented and exhibited works by eminent artists and estates from the American South and Cuba, curating block buster shows from the Havana Biennale to Art Basel Miami. Jacob has brokered and consulted on fine art to top-notch private collections, as well as revered cultural institutions - such as, the Mississippi Museum of Art, Gibbes Museum of Art, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, National Gallery of Art, and the (Mississippi) University Museum, among others. Jacob comes to Vikor Scientific with a creative spirit, extensive visual hard drive and experience in architecting large projects of various mediums. As Marketing Liaison, Jacob works closely with co-founders, Scotty Branch and Shea Harrelson, to determine Vikor's mission and maintain a cohesive look and feel of a project. Be it an event, advertising campaign, social feeds, video or web content, Jacob ensures the visuals, messaging and/or interactive and motion designs are on point. Jacob also establishes budgets and timelines, manages client relationships and organizes artistic collaborations. At the helm of Charleston’s visual art and fashion scenes, she has been included in Charlie Mag’s “50 Most Progressive” and Charleston Magazine’s “10 Most Stylish” lists. Jacob has served as a founding board member of the Gibbes Museum’s Society of 1858 and as selected juror for publications highlighting top emerging Southern artists such as the Oxford American. She has been a contributor and consultant on NPR (National Public Radio), as well as many local and national television programs.
