I have been a professional arts psychotherapist since 2013 and have recorded over 6000 hours in both individual and group settings. I work in clinical private practice in the Adelaide Hills, specialising in disability, cancer, trauma and attachment issues, personality, mood, and autism spectrum disorders, loss and grief, indigenous issues, transgender and sexuality issues, suicidality, addiction, acquired brain injuries, relationship, and marital issues among others. I am also a certified and practicing equine-assisted psychotherapist, working with clients and horses to assist people experiencing the same challenges as mentioned above. I work with my horse Knight Trapper and a herd of 8 other horses in Hahndorf, South Australia.I'm a registered NDIS provider with a particular focus on creative arts and equine-assisted psychotherapy. I have DHS clearance to work with all vulnerable client populations. In addition to my clinical roles, I have also fulfilled an academic/lecturing role at the Ikon Institute of Australia where I lectured in Creative Arts Psychotherapy and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at Bachelor level. I am also a current Masters Degree student in the field of Counselling and Psychotherapy.My practice in both arts and equine-assisted psychotherapy is grounded in the philosophy of Phenomenology. It is also facilitated with Gestalt, sensorimotor and mindfulness-based forms of inquiry that privilege the unconscious to become conscious while being guided by the humanistic principles of person-centred and trauma-informed therapy.
