I joined the organization as President and CEO after years of contributing to the organization as both a partner providing pro bono consulting services, and as a client who leveraged those services to improve the region’s transportation.About Civic Consulting Alliance: We provide pro bono consulting services that are amplified by the capacity and expertise of our corporate partners. Together, we work to advance systems-level solutions that untangle interconnected issues like economic and educational opportunity gaps, violence, and injustice that affect residents. Our clients value this effective model as a neutral party that allows for collaborative, intricate, and expedient work. We leverage our institutional knowledge, cross-sector relationships, as well as data, research, and analysis, to inform clients’ decisions and build sustainable solutions. Managed implementation of a $200-$400M annual capital program, including transformative projects such as the 606/Bloomingdale Trail; Chicago Riverwalk; Loop Link; Union Station Transit Center; new CTA elevated stations at Washington-Wabash and Cermak Road; citywide “smart” streetlighting modernization; and new pedestrian and bike bridges on the South Lakefront and Chicago River. Collaborated successfully across city departments, sister agencies, and local, state and federal agencies, as well as managed private consultant partners and integrated public engagement, for effective policy and project planning, development, and implementation.Launched major policy initiatives, including new citywide, cross-departmental, data-driven Vision Zero program to eliminate death and serious injuries from traffic crashes; and New Transportation and Mobility Task Force recommendations to effectively plan for and manage the integration of new private mobility services and technologies into the City’s transportation systems.
