About Rebekah Zwanzig

I help academic authors polish their prose and prepare it for publication. Trained in the humanities at high ranking research universities, I have mastered multiple research methods and writing styles and this knowledge enables me to skillfully and thoughtfully edit my clients’ work. I currently work with academic presses and individual clients. It has been over a decade since I began to hone my formal editing skills through the mentorship of my MA advisor. Leaving academia and making a career change to freelance editing seemed like a natural transition, and I have been freelancing full-time for 4 years. I am able to quickly adapt to changing environments and roles, and proactively investigate and adopt new methods and approaches to apply in these situations. I am experienced working with highly technical and complex forms of writing, as well as explaining and teaching these forms to nonspecialists.
