Attend and facilitate the Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) and Section 504 meeting as a District Representative/Administrator designee. Provide support and training to staff regarding the ARD and Section 504 process. Implement consistent systems to manage 504 and Special Education paperwork. Monitor timelines and compliance for Section 504 and ARD meetings. Maintain campus special education and 504 databases. Coordinate and schedule Section 504 and ARD calendar. Manage multiple priorities and projects utilizing leadership, communication and organization skills. Establish and maintain professional and open communication with families and colleagues.

Collaborate with staff, students and families to develop and implement an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) through the ARD Committee process. Participate in ARD Committee meetings on a regular basis. Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies and activities that reflect the learning styles of individual students. Conduct ongoing assessments of students achievement through formal and informal data collection and making adjustments to interventions and IEP goals, accommodations and schedule of services as data suggests. Establish and maintain professional and open communications with families, students and colleagues. Staying informed and comply with federal, state, district and school policies regarding special education services.

Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences. Prepare the classroom for class activities and provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities. Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests and assignments to observe and evaluate student’s performance and development. Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs.

Responsible for handling a high volume of inbound calls from constituents of the American Cancer Society. Responds to a broad range of inquiries that may include cancer prevention and early detection information, requests for community resources, material orders and a variety of other topics related to the American Cancer Society’s work.
