I have been with ReBOOT since 2008, starting as a jobseeker on a multi-week placement. Over the years, I have continued with this amazing charity and social enterprise; first as a volunteer, then as the first Future Jobs Fund employee in Scotland. It wasn't long before I secured employment with ReBOOT directly as a Computer Technician. From 2016 to 2019, I took on the additional role of Development Officer, increasing ReBOOT’s online sales and helping the Manager to secure funding for future endeavours.From January 2020, I have moved to the role of Technical Officer; this combines responsibility for the growth of ReBOOT's online and B2B sales, while still retaining the use of my computing skills in our customer repairs and in-house technical support. With several years of prior experience in customer service and a long-standing passion for computing and IT, I have opted to forego University education for more practical, work-based learning.
