I have been in the pharmaceutical Industry for over 25 years working at various levels within the clinical development pathway. My education was rooted in science, but I have expanded it to venture into the realms of business and law which all coalesce to allow me to explore situations with a variety of “hats”.My roots in the Natural Sciences helped me to allow my “inner child” to explore the world with eyes wide. The work I began with in data operations required me to assess items in a more methodical manner. When I was able to move into innovation, my methodical self was joined to my inner child and the question “what if?” was able to move to center stage again, this time with a data centric mind to back it up. As I merged my business and legal training into that persona, I became a well-equipped innovation champion. I try to look at issues by taking the new technologies and discoveries into account – but also to combine areas that at first glance seem divergent, but when combined create a symphony of knowledge. I enjoy testing the boundaries and designing experiments that will answer the question at hand quickly – either positive or negative – but in any case, a lesson for future work. I am also very interested in exploring unique applications of the current technology fields into the pharmaceutical business in general. I feel that many social and digital experiences can be translated across the life of a product from R&D through Sales, Safety and transition to the generic. The use of mobile and other forms of technology are important today to develop and maintain a brand through its life cycle.
