Before launching ChangeWeavers, I spent nearly a decade leading a nationally recognized Healthcare Recruitment Firm.I prided myself on my work and had a trophy case of awards to show for it, but I felt conflicted. Many clients put money before people, and I struggled with the trade I was making by advocating for them, prioritizing profits over purpose. This wasn’t the case with all clients. I regularly partnered with non-profits, and their leaders took-up residence at a soft spot in my heart. I admired the way that they faced a similar “devil’s bargain,” but chose a different path. They were ChangeWeavers, passing on the opportunity to earn big(ger) bucks in the for-profit space to provide support and care for an underserved community. From this inner conflict, ChangeWeavers was born.
