I’m responsible for the company’s payroll function. From managing and processing contractor timesheets to ensuring all our contractors are paid correctly and on time, to invoicing our clients and answering any questions the clients or contractors may have. I works closely with our Group Finance Director and is always looking for ways to continually improve the smooth running of payroll.

* Responsible for the preparation and processing of the weekly payroll for approximately 400 temps on the tempaid payroll system (This includes the entire cycle of payroll processing from capturing of new starters, leave, terminations and check and authorise claims) * Work with other members of accounting team to provide information necessary for them to complete their work / liaising with credit control to solve any issues relating to invoices missing PO numbers * Raising invoices to send out to customers for permanent placements * Checking HMRC for tax code notifications * Inputting bank receipts onto Sage * Ensuring all client details were correct and up to date on the system * Being able to work to tight deadlines and prioritising workload to meet these * Answering phone calls and dealing with questions and enquiries

* Day to day HR administration for Operation and Logistical departments including holiday, sickness absence, overtime, agency staff time sheets. * Keeping on top of staff overtime, collating all information on a weekly basis ready for month end to send to payroll * Responsible for monitoring live sickness absence data, ensuring up to date and accurate at all times. * Managing the factories uniform rental contract, from arranging measuring days to issuing uniform across site. * Provide administration support to Operations Manager. * Devising and maintain office systems, including data management and filing. * Arranging adhoc travel and accommodation where necessary. * Managing Operational meeting room diary/usage and liaising with clients, suppliers and staff. * Dealing with incoming calls, emails and post.
