This is a dual role of project management, as well as a continuation of draughting duties within the poultry, red meat and fish primary processing plants, further processing plants and waste/by-product plants throughout Africa.Some of my main duties included but not limited to:• Scheduling projects and control thereof from inception to completion.• Regular customer and contractor engagement.• Mechanical and electrical design of the project.• Managing the project team, technicians, and sub-contractors.• Oversee installation of project.• Oversee commissioning and handover process.• Manage warranty related claims.• Regular post project presentations to the company's directors to review success of projects.

My responsibilities shifted into the management of projects and providing turnkey solutions, specialising in stainless steel equipment, conveying equipment and special purpose machinery, with key focus in the food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as other equipment for the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.My duties included:- Meeting with clients for project scopes and site inspections- Design and draughting of equipment/machinery/complete sections of production lines- Producing quotations and/or estimates for projects- Managing workshop personnel during production of equipment/machinery- Controlling of project resources to ensure projects are met in time and within budget- Verification of quality and good workmanship on all equipment during manufacturing- Installation and commissioning of equipment/machinery where applicable

My duties included the draughting and design of machinery for the food and pharmaceutical industries. The scope of duties included design of equipment, as well as fabrication drawings required for manufacturing of equipment.

As part of my studies in the mechanical engineering field, this serves as my in-service training in order to graduate. The training is aimed at equipping me to become a project manager in the engineering industry. Part of my training consists of workshop experience on the workshop floor, operation of CNC machinery, programming for CNC department, draughting and design, drafting of tenders and/or quotations, and also equipping me with commercial awareness and high safety standards in the industry.
