Lecturer / IT Technician • Delivering HND/HNC and BTEC (Levels 1-5) IT courses and Apprenticeships (Level 3-5) with subjects including cyber security, computer networks, communicating and working in the IT industry, computer systems, installing, maintaining, and repairing hardware & software components, IOT (internet of things), Windows Server configuration and deployment (Windows 2016 and 2022 server including configuration of the domain controller via Active directory and group policy management). • Preparing the learning environment and resources, setting up IT equipment where required.• Setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining the equipment in IT Department PC laboratory. • Utilising the equipment to teach IT (Level 2 to 5) including configuration, fault finding and maintenance of Gaming and Desktop PC’s, Rack mounted servers and switches, termination of patch panels, wiring LAN sockets, Cat5e and Cat6 cable making and testing, Laptop repair, Raspberry pi (connected to breadboard with servo and LED Cameras etc.)• Setting up and demonstrating: Operating Systems Software including Windows 11/10/8, Vista XP, Windows Server 2022 2016 2008 2003 2000, Linux distros (Kali, Mint, Fedora, SUSE, UBUNTU), APPLE iOS OS X, Magic Triangle (AD OSX Server Implementation) with integration of Mac computers with MS Active Directory, VMWARE ESXi on Dell PowerEdge 1950, virtualizing Domain Controllers using Hyper-V. • Setting up, demonstrating, and teaching: IIS Web server, DNS, Multiple DHCP Scopes (class B for Inter-VLAN Routing), Layer 3 Routing and Inter-VLAN (HP V910-24G-POE), configuring Inter-VLAN in Pfsense Firewall (NAT overloading to Internet), automated deployment of operating systems through WDS and answer file, certificate server setup for use with IIS Webserver with HTTPS, VPN and direct access servers, configuration of commercial Wireless Access Points (ARUBA AP105’S POE VIA HP V910-24G-POE Layer 3 Switch)
