My first two years in the military I have worked as a medical technician. First two months started off in Biloxi, Mississippi at Keesler AFB where I worked in the ER, Family Health Clinic, Dermatology, and ICU where I learned the basics of medical patient care. From here I was stationed in North Pole, Alaska at Eielson AFB where I worked 1 year in their Family Health Clinic doing sterile procedures, screening patients, and managing schedules both checking in and rescheduling while simultaneously scanning paperwork into patient charts. During this time, due to my productivity I was awarded Airman of the month and Flight of the month under several circumstances. From here I was moved to Pediatrics due to time management and professionalism. During this time, I assisted and performed wellness checks and procedures from newborns to 18-year old’s where overtime I was recognized medaled by the Chief Nurse of the Army for my performance. For the next year I will be working EMS where I am consistently improving my emergency medicine skills.
