General End User Support & Troubleshooting• Initial ticket logging into the helpdesk system, triggered by a customer or colleague request• Undertaking 1st line troubleshooting and diagnostic duties, progressing through the ticket queue in order of priority. If a customer reported a widespread outage, that would be prioritised over less impactful or no impact tickets• Liaising with customers via telephone and email, providing ticket updates and gathering information for troubleshooting processes• Specific technical tasks included but not limited to;o VLAN additions and changes on Cisco & Juniper switcheso Switch port configuration for multiple devices, such as AP’s, desktops & laptops, and trunking uplinks to switches and firewallso Route analysis to troubleshoot and ascertain correct routing paths, such as static routeso Firewall rule additions and changes for multi purposes and functions, across a wide range of ports (TCP/UDP)o Site visits for a wide Scope of Work range, such as auditing, racking and configuring equipment, Cat5/6 cable installation and fault resolution on multi-vendor equipmento Liaison with third parties, such as contractors and delivery teams to arrange equipment delivery and installation
