My academic journey through a 3-year bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Philosophy has equipped me with a strong foundation in group dynamics, communication barriers, and conflict resolution. During my final year in 2021, I volunteered with the One South Africa Movement, a political network committed to direct democracy in South Africa, which sparked my passion for making meaningful societal change.With a keen interest in cryptocurrency and the fintech space, I’ve gained invaluable experience at Shiftly (Pty) Ltd, a company specializing in automated arbitrage trading. Additionally, I have a year’s experience in granting credit, backed by a solid understanding of the NCA, FICA, and FAIS Act. I’ve also completed my class of business (COB) in investments, which fuels my desire to dive deeper into the financial advisory field and explore opportunities in banking.My passion extends beyond fintech to revolutionising the financial landscape in rural South Africa. With alternative mediums of exchange, I aim to challenge traditional banking structures and the unsustainable fiat system that is no longer backed by gold. My goal is to study the historical backdrop of banking, understand its flaws, and drive impactful change in how future generations interact with money.
