The Huhtamaki group was responsible for the production of various recycled fiber products such as egg or avocado trays. In this company I worked as a trade assistant alongside the maintenance team which was comprised of engineers, tradesman and a health and safety manager, and was responsible for the maintenance of the various machinery on the site to ensure efficient and safe production on site. The work I undertook during my time with Huhtamaki included: - Frequent team meetings to discuss the schedule and upcoming assignments - Maintenance of the various moulding heads for machine lines and managing time effectively to complete all assignments on time within the schedule. - Adapting to sudden changes to the schedule due to lacking storage for incoming orders. - Working effectively with multiple disciplines within the group dependant on what work needed to be completed to meet the schedule.
