My career began with Blackthorne Capital Management as a part time software developer while finishing my degree in game development and computer science. Blackthorne’s Vision encouraged me to change from C# to Java which afforded me the tools to be an integral part in the development of Blackthorne's main product. Part time employment then became 30 hours a week throughout my senior year and full time during college breaks. Working for Blackthorne for three more years allowed me to grow in skills only gained by working at such a start-up opportunity. At the beginning of January 2016 the dream of starting my own business creating mobile games for Android and IOS devices became a reality. I transitioned from being a full time employee to that of a contract worker for Blackthorne and created NuZwark Entertainment.While working at NuZwark Entertainment, I used an AWS EC2 server with MySQL to allow players to play continuously with multiple devices. I am currently employed at CUNA Mutual and work as a full stack developer maintaining angular web apps, .NET back ends, Rest APIs, and azure cloud tools. A highlight for me has been setting up CI CD releases for several applications and collaborating on system architecture.
