My name is Reece, nice to meet you! With a passion for applied economics, I have decided that I want to focus my career on the advancement of social progress. After recently completing my second year of university at Griffith, I am excited to enter the field and hungry to learn. I have been fortunate enough to gather an extensive range of skills through a broad set of experiences, both personally and professionally. I’m at a stage where I’d like to find a company who aligns with my values, who are willing to teach me and invest into me. In return, I will grow and cement myself as a long-term employee for this company, I will become a vital asset to the team to foster mutual benefit.Due to family circumstances, I have lived out of home since 17. My mom lives in another state and has to provide for my sister, and my father is currently serving time in Prison. During these years living out of home, I've been slept on the street, gone weeks on end without food/money, and had to learn how to provide for myself. I think the experiences I went through before entering the youth homeless system really shaped who I am as a person, and taught me the importance of diligence and discipline, how to be resilient during hard times, and most important of all the importance of contributing to something larger than yourself, and growing every day as a person and a professional through whatever means are available to you.
