I provided support to the Scottish rugby team by delivering specialized soft tissue and manual therapy treatments, primarily through targeted massage techniques and collaborating closely with the Physiotherapy team.

My work as a sports massage therapist involves a variety of tasks, including:Assessing the needs of the clients and Athletes: This involves evaluating the client's range of motion, muscle tone, and overall physical condition. As well as discussing the client's goals and any injuries or conditions that need to be addressed.Developing a treatment plan: Based on the assessment, I will create an individualized treatment plan that may include a combination of Manual therapy techniques such as, mobilization, manipulation, soft tissue work, PNF, or acupuncture ext. Performing massage: I use a variety of massage techniques, such as NMT, Myofascial release, and TPR, to assist with any dysfunction and or to reduce pain. as well as other modalities such as EMS, TENS, or thermal therapy for my athletes that have had major surgery.Maintaining records: It is important to me to keep detailed records of each treatment, including the client's goals, and the techniques used as some work for some individuals and don’t work as well for others as well as any progress made. This information is used to track the client's progress and make any necessary changes to their treatment plan.Continuing education: I believe that as a sports massage therapist, it is essential to stay up to date on the latest research and techniques in their field. This is why I attend as many CPD courses as I can, BASRAT is especially helpful for me in this department giving me opportunities to learn from some of the best in their practices.

Assisting the Head physiotherapist in the assessment and rehabilitation of athletes, as well as actively contributing to personalized programs for individual players to suit their specific needs daily. Furthermore, proficiently guided athletes through RTP protocols, ensuring a seamless transition back to competitive performance.Additionally, I provide on-field first aid coverage during training sessions, demonstrating adeptness in immediate injury management and care at the pitch side.
