Northpine Water Treatment Plant

I am currently and Apprentice Fitter and Turner with SEQ water, based at Northpine Water Treatment Plant Brisbane. In my role I am exposed to the facilities and processes of water treatment in the northern operation area with in SEQ Water. Duties include. Mechanical and civil maintenance. Machining. Mechanical and civil fabrication. Preventive, reactive and planned maintenance. Commissioning of refurbished and new plant. Confined space entry. Work at heights. Develop, scope and perform complex mechanical and network main isolations. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of SEQ Water policies and procedures. I am also an active member of the SEQ Water Regional Workplace Health and Safety Committee.Through working with SEQ Water I have gained valuable industry experience and trade skills required to perform work efficiently and effectively, I am always looking to expand my knowledge and I am a fast keen learner.

Collinsville Queensland

I am a fitter and turner apprentice with in Thiess PTY. LTD. I started my apprenticeship at Collinsville Coal in the CHPP plant performing maintenance fitting on a multitude of coal preparation and handling equipment. I gained a vast knowledge and comprehensive trade skills working at Collinsville however, after the closure of Collinsville coal I was internally transferred to QCLNG Upstream project based near Dalby. I look forward to learning how things work in the oil and gas industry.
