Responsible for developing a 3D printer that was able to print two actuating materials that could be mixed on the fly or layered on top of each other. This involved two plans of attack:1) Develop custom-made software to control two extruders to move as required, when attached to a moving phase, and2) Printing the material in a required pattern to ensure controlled actuationTo perform this task adequately, I was required to code the controlling software from scratch to suit our needs, then implement it to print actuators that could be altered to bend as required.
