UBC Formula Electric is a group of students who design and build electric race cars to compete with at international collegiate competitions. I supervise all mechanical developments on the car as well as leading the design of the chassis, aero and composite components of the car. Currently, we are working on designing our first fully carbon fiber monocoque for the 2022 season.

Mapped out roofs and led solar panel instillations for residential and commercial projects. Wired new breaker panels and emergency shutoffs and ran wire through the house for panel connections. Completed warranty work on faulty solar panels, inverters and DC optimizers.

SPBES is the industry leaders in providing energy solutions for replacing diesel in marine, grid and heavy industrial applications with batteries. I built battery containment CAD solutions for clients and maintained SPBES’ DNVGL certification by conducting tests on their high voltage batteries.

CRN is a research group based out of UBC that is focused on performing industry leading research for composite materials and providing information about composites manufacturing and design through the CKN, the Composites Knowledge Network. I tailored clients’ carbon fiber parts through the development of new manufacturing and testing procedures.

The Summerland Research and Development Centre is focused on building resilient and profitable horticultural production systems. I spent two summer working with the research team. In my first summer, I built floor plans of the 320 hectare sites and maintained the greenhouse and botanical gardens. For my second summer, I started to automate the world renowned cherry breading program by programing macros and analyzing the data collection.

McGill Formula Electric is a group of students who design and build electric race cars to compete with at international collegiate competitions. I built the majority of carbon fiber parts of the car, including the impact attenuator, the monocoque, and bespoke pieces for the firewall and steering wheel. During my downtime between classes and studies, I was in the bay helping team members where needed from drilling mounting holes to painting the interior of the car.
