Managing a team of underwriters to achieve SLA targets and deadlines.Creating bespoke training to develop the underwriters skills on the basis of QA results.Retraining underwriters to complete reaccreditations.Representative of the Change Committee to change processes in line with FCA guidelines to increase efficiencies and lend.Creating proposals to change processes to improve underwriting quality and Audit Process.Updating and improving the Excel Spreadsheet to undertake the Forensic Review of an application to minimise mistakes, increase productivity and improve lend.

Job Responsibilities as Underwriter include:-Accepting and Declining short term and one-off payment loan applications assuring that they are completed on time with the SLA set out by the Underwriting Manager and in line with the FCA guidlines.-Assessing the applicants Credit File to determine risk and suitability for acceptance in line with loan amount and duration. Assessments include an overview of recent and historic credit file data to determine suitability, assessing affordability including real time data via MODA and investigating risk associated with loan cycles and finance loading.-Investigating the applicants affordability by assessing the income and expenditure against the affordability matrix to determine whether the information is inline with the national averages and their living arrangements and requesting documentation if unvalidated.-Assessing applications for fraud risk including altered documentation and escalating any confirmed fraud applications to the Customer Satisfaction Manager.-Assisting the Customer Satisfaction Team by reviewing past applications to determine suitability of payout due to Irresponsible Lending Complaints raised by the customer/Claim Management Companies for potential redress.-Assisting Document Control with updating the Underwriting Manual to assure the document is up to date with the new processes which have been authorised by Compliance, Management and the Product Owners.

- Managing a high volume of accounts which have fallen into arrears and ensuring that each account has the best resolution for Applicant, Guarantor and for the business- Completing Financial Assessments to determine one's affordability for repayment without the decision affecting the other party negatively by extending the loan term significantly.- Training the newest members of the team and the Amigo Academy to assure they are working in accordance to the regulations provided by Amigo Loans and the FCA.- Participating in Projects with the Business Change Department and reporting back results and system improvements to aid the company in creating a more efficient Collection's system.

- Managing multiple assigned large corporate and public sector accounts to ensure appropriate cash flow.- Assessing potential risks and making the decision to escalate matters to the appropriate personnel to ensure quick resolution and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.- Scheduling conference calls with Account Managers and the Consumer to discuss current issues and targets for invoices to be paid by if account is classed as a risk or high value.- Multitasking by using multiple systems over the phone with customers to deliver fast information on account details, providing a high quality phone experience.
