Through careful experimentation and attention to detail, I was able to produce a 98% pure ε-Al13 cluster through crystallization.In addition to synthesizing the cluster, I confirmed its identity using 13Al-NMR and 1H-NMR analysis at UC Davis. This involved working with high-tech instruments such as the Bruker 800 and 400 MHz NMR. This work was critical to understanding the properties and potential applications of this compound.
