Took a step away from corporate retail to focus on a longtime goal of opening a bricks and mortar, local shop of my own to serve the community of Bainbridge Island, WA. Also heavily involved with our 90 year old community Sportsmen’s Club as Trustee, Chief Range Safety Officer, and Pistol Caliber Range Manager.

Led the final design phase, all hiring, training, grand opening, P&L management, and daily operations of Brooks Running’s first ever flagship, inline retail store. Located, hired, and trained top retail talent from across the Seattle area and beyond, developing brand ambassadors focused on inclusivity, razor sharp attention to detail, and infectious enthusiasm. Developed a strong social media presence, marketing for the store through creative, event-driven outreach to successfully build a customer base. Ultimately responsible for managing P&L, operations, and personnel in two Brooks-owned retail locations in the Seattle area.

Supported Territory Operations teams in eight territories made up of 15 countries. Managed Consumer and Athlete (Sales Associate) Experience as well as Communications -- Focus included sales & service training, retail communications and related task management tools (Four languages: English, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish), policies & standards, sustainability, store openings, contests, and consumer feedback surveys. Liaison between Global Store Operations and Emerging Markets territories.

Supported North America Nike Factory and Inline Stores, focusing on store communications, openings, policy & procedure program management, Point-of-Sale, sales floor process, store openings, and sustainability. Store systems liaison between North America Store Operations and IT.

Managed P&L, schedule, shipping & receiving, sales floor, and new hire training. Supervised a team of store leaders and their direct reports. Reduced store inventory shrink and grew revenue significantly during my tenure.

Managed staff, training, scheduling, in-store services (bicycle & snow sports service, ski/snowboard lessons), and shipping/receiving at a large footprint outdoor and action sports retailer. Grand opened store and hired/trained all team members.

Consistently one of the top salespeople at one of Trek Bicycles' Top 50 US dealers. Given added responsibility of training new sales associates based on my performance in the role.

Conducted media research and compiled/arranged press sources for Sierra Club's "Tour de Sprawl" campaign, which targeted unchecked urban and suburban sprawl in the Greater Atlanta Area as well as across the Southeastern US.

Managed a small, startup cycling/hiking store with responsibility for sales, service, inventory, merchandising, bicycle repairs, and administrative duties.
